Why She is Unhappy
When Gu Jingmo was gravely injured, she obtained a prescription for treating her wounds. However, because she could not read, she misread the prescription and mistakenly believed that only a monk could cure her. Thus, she made her way to Qingyou Temple.
As fate would have it, when she arrived, three thousand cultivators were kneeling in supplication, begging Xuan Song to leave the mountain and destroy the demon. Although Xuan Song appeared to refuse their request, he had secretly detected Gu Jingmo's arrival and personally descended the mountain to investigate.
Gu Jingmo captured Xuan Song, who had disguised himself to investigate the situation outside the temple. However, they were ambushed along the way, and Xuan Song discovered that something about her was not as it seemed.
Under the pretext of searching for medicinal herbs, Xuan Song accompanied Gu Jingmo to the places where she had once committed massacres. There, he discovered the truth: every time she had been accused of slaughtering innocents, she had actually been saving people. Yet she had shouldered the blame for indiscriminate killing, ultimately bringing deadly calamity upon herself.
Meanwhile, Gu Jingmo gradually came to understand Xuan Song's tragic past.
After enduring numerous hardships and trials together, the two slowly came to recognize their feelings for each other. With the help of one another, they eventually found redemption and healing.
