Fierce Dog
Yu Jian lived in the orphanage for sixteen years.
The day before reuniting with her biological parents, she ran into Chi Lie, who had been stabbed, in a small alley outside the yard. Covered in blood amidst the shadows of midsummer trees, the teenager's pair of dark eyes was indifferent and stern, holding the freezing wind and snow of deep winter.
"What are you looking at?" He sneered softly, "I'm not dead yet."
Seventeen-year-old Chi Lie was a mad dog that everyone kept at a respectful distance.
Fatherless and motherless, dirt poor, stubborn and silent, even after collapsing at the end of the alley, he could still treat his wound expressionlessly as if nothing had happened.
To survive, he desperately bared all his claws and fangs; even if it meant death, he would first bite fiercely and tear open his opponent's throat.
Until that summer afternoon.
Cicadas chirped incessantly, the warm breeze blew softly, and Chi Lie raised his head, unexpectedly catching sight of the young girl's skirt as she walked closer from afar.
For seventeen long and dark years. It was the first time someone walked gently toward him.
[I clumsily hid my fangs and secretly went to hold your hand]
