Deep within a hundred flowers lives a miserable girl named Hua'er. Miss Hua'er is a night watchman. Every time the curtain of night falls, her slender hand picks up the bamboo clapper, and she follows behind the bailiff, calling out like a soul. Second Master Bai is a light sleeper, and every time he tries to fall asleep, that trembling voice enters his ears and disturbs his rest. Over time, he developed the idea of marrying her and bringing her home, to shut her mouth and get a peaceful night's sleep.
Unexpectedly, as soon as the matchmaker entered the door, before her bottom was even warm, she was chased out by the ungrateful Hua'er: "I'd marry anyone but that notorious Second Master Bai!"
